So, you actually decided to click the link to learn more about me? It wasn't a mistake was it? OK, good. Here is a little bit about who I am.
I was born and raised in Detroit during a time when the auto industry was kicking butt! Everyone around me was doing well. There were jobs, my neighborhood was doing well and I had my whole future ahead of me, but I didn't know that "economy, crash, bailout" would ever be words that would so greatly impact the direction of my life.
After graduating from MSU (Go Green!) I came home and got a job like everyone else and did really well for a long time until I realized, I kind of hated my job! And it wasn't a simple dislike, it was a passionate consuming hate. So, I did what anyone would do. I went back to school and started the road (that I will finish someday) to getting my Master's Degree and I began to practice things I truly love, like writing.
Now, I find myself in the process of writing two books and looking for a complete career change (keep your fingers crossed) into something that I am passionate about in a good way, but there is still one thing missing. A partner. I am in my 30's, single and my poor mother is giving up on ever having grandchildren (even though I don't even want the buggers, I enjoy sleep) and I still have not found that guy that I can say is "the one". But the looking can be fun :-)
I decided to try my hand at this blog on a whim to see where it takes me and I hope you will find it smart, funny and honest just like I consider myself to be. If you have any suggestions, rants or ideas please send me a message. I am open to all feedback and realize I can't get better without people willing to tell me when I suck.
Thank you for reading!
